M S T S

The MSTS (Management Suspense Tracking System) system is for the purpose of the management of personnel. The MSTS system was designed for approximately 2000 users and runs on a Solaris box running a Netscape iplanet server. For testing, we used a Solaris box running an apache server. In essence, the MSTS system breaks down as follows:

Upon logging into MSTS, the user is confronted with a summary screen which provides a synopsis of all actions and sub-actions involving the user.

The sidebar provides quick access and easy navigation throughout the system. The sidebar is always present while using the MSTS system. Based on a user's "default" role, the sidebar will provide varying services to the user. The sidebar is composed of 3 main parts:

Future work
Future work in MSTS is enforcing more of the access policies of the system. Most access rules are already in place, but some still need to be coded. Also, some more access policies may need to be defined as the users use the MSTS system. The theory behind MSTS, (RBAC), was a motivation to our implementation.

1 - Admin is shown only if the user has a "default" role of Administrator.
