August 19th, 1999, A group of
15 Chinese Students landed on the continent of America.
After about 16 hours' oversea travel, we were all very
tired. Fortunately, the Chinese people here gave us new UVA
students lots of help. They hosted us for about a week till
all of us found our places to live. They did a lot for us,
but asked for nothing. We highly appreciate their help and
kindness. Next year, I will try my best to help those new
UVA Chinese students. It is a warm family here

I grew up in a small city in
the east of Guangxi Province. This beautiful city is Wuzhou.
I spoke Cantonese there. When I was 18 years old, I was
admitted by Peking
University, one of the best universities in China. I
studied in the Department
of Computer Science & Technology. After four years'
toil and sweat, I graduated with honor. Now I am in the United
States, a country with the world's most advanced technologies,
seeking greater challenge and success.

I like sports: swimming,
badminton, volleyball, biking ... especially soccer. I have
been trained in high school's volleyball team for 6 years,
so I can play volleyball quite well. I have many other
hobbies, such as music, making friends, chatting, travelling,
and games.
