                         Informal Evaluation

Since formal course evaluations are conducted too late in the semester
for neither the professor nor the students to benefit out of the
revelations resulting from such evaluations, I am conducting an early
informal evaluation.  I care very much about your progress and
comments.  I also care very much about improving my effectiveness as a
teacher, and I shall use your feedback to further improve my style, my
presentations, and the rest of the course.

Instructions: Please take your time and give this some thought: it
will affect the content and structure of the rest of my presentations.
This is an anonymous evaluation, to give you complete freedom in
expressing your comments; please do not put your name on your

How do you feel about having extra-credit problems in class?
