Gabriel Robins Receives VEF Faculty Appreciation Award

From
May 2, 1998

P rofessor Gabe Robins was awarded the Virginia Engineering Foundation's Faculty Appreciation Award for his dedication and service to the School of Engineering and Applied Science. This is the first year that this award has been presented. It was presented by Dean Richard W. Miksad at the VEF's annual presentation of awards luncheon on May 2, 1998.

In 1976, the Virginia Engineering Foundation began the practice of formally recognizing members of the University community who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of engineering and engineering education at U.Va. Over the years, the foundation has created several specialized awards to highlight the many different ways in which alumni, students, faculty, and friends have contributed to and enriched the school. Nominations are made by the Virginia Engineering Foundation members and winners are selected by the public affairs and awards committee of the VEF Board of Directors.
