I can't remember when I started appreciating classical music, but definitely my accordion playing for almost 7 years helped me gain keen interests and knowledge on classical music. Now I have given up practising the accordion, I still enjoy listening to classical CDs.

I personally prefer soft rock and pop jazz music. Cranberries is surely my big favorite. Wang Fei (Chinese singer) is suspicious of intentionally imitating her. For Chinese pop singers, I only appreciate individual songs, nobody is my favorite.

Sometimes people tend to forget the fabulous music in movies. As you may or may not realize, famous movies unexceptionally include sweet music. Some of them are original (e.g. Forest Gump, The Sound of Music), some are takien from classical music.
