- Prof. Coskun's 3D extension
Prof. Ayse Coskun's research group in Boston University has built an extension to HotSpot. It enables modeling for layers with blocks that have a heterogeneous set of thermal resistivity and heat capacity values.
- MERCURY
A software suite that emulates temperatures based on simple layout, hardware, and component utilization data.
- Temptor / TILTS
A lightweight runtime temperature monitoring tool using performance counters.
- 3D-ICE
An open library from EPFL which can perform transient thermal analyses of vertically stacked 3D IC with inter-tier Microchannel Liquid Cooling.
