IMPORTANT: To be reimbursed you must first fill out this form before you travel. If you are not a US citizen, please visit the foreign nationals page for additional requirements. It is essential that you save your travel receipts, itineraries and BOARDING PASS STUBS for reimbursement. Without these, the University of Virginia cannot reimburse you for air fare. We will reimburse rental car expenses if this is your choice of transportation in lieu of air travel. We cannot reimburse rental cars for local use if you fly in to Washington.
Transportation to/from airports:
From Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA): Take the Metro Blue Line in the direction towards Addison Rd, exit at the Rosslyn Stop (this stop is right across the street from the hotel). After exiting go up to the top level of the station, exit by the stairway to the right and the hotel is directly across the street.
Taxi: Approx $12.00 - $15.00
From Dulles Airport (IAD): Either taxi or airport transportation services are recommended. Taxi prices range from $45 - $60 one way.
Referrals for transportation services: Super Shuttle (1-800-BLUE VAN) or the Washington Flyer(1-888-W at 1-888-WASH FLY). Rates & hours vary per service
Arlington County now offers 7 day a week bus/shuttle service between Rosslyn
Metro Station and Washington Dulles Intl Airport. The shuttle leaves Rosslyn
Metro approx every 1/2 hour between the hours of 5:20am to midnight (begins
at 8am on Sat / Sun). Cost is $5.00 each way.
Washington Flyer: Passengers are requested to call 703-685-1400 to make
reservations. Reservations must be made at least 4 hours prior to arrival
but no more than 48 hours prior to pick-up time. Passengers are taken to the
Vienna-Mitchell Metro station. From there, guests take the metro (.85) to
the Rosslyn stop (this stop is right across the street from the
hotel).
Cost: $11 Per person/one way. Operates 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.
Taxi: Approx $35.00.
AMTRAK: 25 MIN; Metro $2.00
Taxi from Amtrak Station: $8.00 to $15.00 approx/ approx 25 minutes
Metro Train from Amtrak: Take the Red Line towards shady grove, transfer at
the Metro Center station to the Blue Line in the direction of
Franconia-Springfield, exit at Rosslyn Station (this stop is right
across the street from the hotel). Approx cost is $2.00, one way.
