Endpoint references, or EPRs, are a Web services addressing construct defined by the WS-Addressing standard. The standard describes what information transport protocols and messaging systems need to provide to address Web service endpoints in a way that is independent of any particular transport or messaging system.

A web service endpoint is a referenceable entity, processor, or resource to which web service messages can be addressed. EPRs convey the information needed to address a Web service endpoint. An EPR has the following fields:

<Address> <Reference Parameters> <Metadata>

 <EPI>
 <Security Context>
 <Resolver>
 <Interfaces>
