Computer Vision Research at the University of Virginia
|

We do theoretical and experimental research on computer vision,
image processing, autonomous robotics, and planning. Our goal is
to develop robust autonomous systems, employing computer vision, that
operate in unconstrained environments and consistently achieve their
goals. Our research agenda includes motion understanding, visual
tracking of moving objects, perception-action systems, planning and
scheduling for robust autonomous systems, planning under
uncertainty, interruptible ("anytime") planning systems, and
integrating planning with perception-action systems. We have
several robots, image processing equipment and an SGI reality
engine at our disposal.
