Research
Research to ascertain
the deployment of Solid State Devices (SSDs) in enterprise storage systems is gathering
momentum. With factors like low power consumption, terrific
response time and low noise, SSDs seem to offer some advantages over
Hard Disk Drives (HDDs). But unless concerns like reliability and cost
are fully addressed, they cannot replace HDDs in data centers. Along
with
Professor Sudhanva Gurumurthi and Professor Mircea Stan, I am working
on determining how these bottlenecks associated with SSDs can be
minimized/eliminated so that they can be used in enterprise storage
systems. So far, my foray into research has been exciting and we hope
to
come up with a few interesting insights in the near future.

Undergraduate Education
I finished my undergraduate in Computer Science and Engineering from
College of Engineering, Guindy, Chennai, India in 2006. My undergraduate thesis
titled ".NET CLR on FPGAs" was completed under the guidance of Prof. Ranjani Parthasarathi in May 2006.
Professional
I was working as a Member Technical Staff in Adobe System India
Private Limited from July 2006 to July 2008. I was a part of the Mobile
and Devices team and we were involved in designing Flashlite&trade, a
stripped down version of Adobe® Flash&trade Player for mobile phones, pocket
PCs and PDAs.
