Look at what you did for HW1 and how that ties into concepts discussed in
slides and the readings.
Part II. The internet and basic web
technologies, e.g.:
HTML. Forms. JavaScript. CSS. Cookies. About 35% (Nothing on CGI scripts or
other server side processing.)

Part III. Encryption (20%)
Slide sets "g", "h" and "i".
(Handout) Chapter 13 through p. 235 (symmetric key encryption). Nothing on
public-key encryption.
Part IV. Take home portion (20%):
You'll be asked to create an HTML document with JavaScript and
webforms. This part of the exam will be released at the time the in-class exam
is given. (Study what you've done for HW2.)
Part IV (take-home) of the examination is pledged as follows. All work must be
your own. This part is open book, open notes, and you may freely examine all
class materials and your own homeworks and notes. You may use the Internet to
access your own information or other information that is freely available and
intended for public access. You may NOT utilize the class notes, class
homeworks, or class files authored by any person other than yourself or your
homework partner. You may NOT consult with any person other than the course
instructor and teaching assistant.
Your work will be submitted through Collab by Weds., 1 pm (two days after
in-class exam). Contact the instructor if your schedule (travel, interviews,
etc.) causes problems with this. It may be possible to get this part of the
exam a bit earlier if you wish.
