Would it be possible for you to follow up with TMC and find out how
they performed their magic? From your numbers, the maximum memory
bandwidth for a CM2 should be

        4 Bytes/sec/process * 2048 processors * 7 Mhz = 57.3 Gbytes/sec

even for SAXPY's or SUM's.
