Print to the Ricoh copier
To print to the Ricoh Aficio MP 7500 department copier (with features such as duplex printing, stapling, and hole punching) from your Windows CSDOM computer, you must authenticate to the copier through the printer driver. Otherwise, any print jobs sent to the Ricoh copier will be quietly discarded. This step only needs to be done right after you map the copier to your machine.
Please keep in mind department policies regarding the use of the copier - questions regarding this may be directed to the CS office staff.
Note: The below walkthrough was captured in Windows 7, but the steps should be very similar for other Windows OSes.
Mapping the Ricoh copier to your machine
On a Windows CSDOM computer, you can add the Ricoh copier by going to Start > Devices and Printers > (right click) Add a printer... and adding the networked printer \\KORE\CS-COPIER. Your machine will download the Ricoh driver, which enables you to use the multifunction capabilities of the copier.
Authentication through the Ricoh printer driver
Once you've mapped the Ricoh copier, you'll see it in the Devices and Printers pane:
- Right click on the copier and select Printing preferences:
- Click on the Valid Access tab at the top, and select the Authentications... button near the bottom:
- Fill in your Windows CSDOM account username and password:
- Click OK on all the remaining dialog boxes - you should now be set up to print to the Ricoh copier!
