Friday Poem

Parents and authors name their children differently.

Untitled Poem

My parents named me “‍Lurvy‍”; it’s a curse and no mistake.
Eating limes can cure scurvy, but a name you just can’t shake.
I’m a hero, skilled and willing; fighting goblins’s what I do;
After saving them from killing, townsfolk say “‍and who are you?‍”
My partner Gorm is honored and our teammate Klieg is feared,
There’s respect for Ember Sondird, but poor Lurvy just sounds weird.
