Beliefs may be confident and/or fervent.

Several times in the past week I have had occasion to point out that confidence and fervency of belief are distinct. I don’t have a lot more to say about this, but it seems worth sharing with a few examples. I thus present an approximate snapshot of some of my current beliefs.

It is worth pointing out that my confidence in where I placed the elements of this snapshot is quite low. I find the process of contemplating the current placement of various elements of my belief rewarding but typically do not commit to any particular placement except in illustrative contexts such as this blog post.
