Friday Poem

Bipeds value the strangest senses.

Untitled Poem

The famous people laugh to see
How well these items smell to me.
Their laughter tends to make me blush;
Embarrassed, I then tend to rush,
And that in turn makes odors grow
(Don’t ask me why; I do not know).

By contrast, when my nose is numb
Most people seem to think I’m dumb.
I’m not. I just don’t chose to speak
When to my nose all things seem weak.
These items, without nasal sway
Are truly dull. What’s more to say?

The other people all appear
To find the nose less than the ear
But mostly fixate on the eye;
I truly cannot fathom why.
Perhaps the way they stand erect
Makes what they smell all incorrect?
