Untitled Poem

Four strangers were drugged in a way-house one night And came to in their skivvies locked each in a cell But though such a waking would give me a fright They calmly escaped in a way strange to tell.

The smallest of them ran and bust through the wall; The next loosed a hinge till the door took a fall; The third bent a bar with a shirt and slipped free; While the fourth was let out by the first with a key. From there they moved quickly as if they all knew Exactly the layout and what they should do They slew several tall anthropomorphic frogs And escaped through a drain, which was wide to stop clogs.

Four strangers emerged from the sewers near dawn And rested a bit in a field with some sheep. They returned to the inn, but their captors were gone So they found a new place and turned in for some sleep.
