Housing and parking

Free meals, lodging and parking on the University of Virginia grounds will be provided for all accepted participants who wish to use them.

Each participant will be individually housed in an air-conditioned private room and will share hall bathrooms with other participants. During the academic year, these dorms are used by new 1st year undergraduates.

Depending upon your travel plans, lodging can start either the day before or first day of the workshop.

Lodging will be in the Balz-Dobie House of the Alderman Residence Area. Balz-Dobie is located on the University grounds. From there it is short walk to the Department of Computer Science in Rice Hall and to the historic Rotunda and the Lawn, and Student Bookstore.

Breakfast and dinner will be available at the Observatory Hill Dining Hall.

Visitor parking will be in the T4 lots (adjacent to and diagonally across from Rice Hall). Passes can be picked up at the Computer Science office in Rice Hall Suite 520.

Additional visitor information is available on-line or by contacting Beth Shannon at 434.982.2050.
