Friday Poem

A thought about pointless fun.

Untitled Poem

If fun from sin would never cease
  It still would torture be
Euphoria could e’er increase
And still the soul would find no peace
if it no point could see.

It’s harmless fun, what is the matter?
This simple truth: it doesn’t matter.
No artificial goals you set
Can ever sate your soul, and yet
  Escapism is rife.
  Alas, it’s not a life.

To live in sin, it cannot be.
For sin’s not life, you see?
