Friday Poem

Ammonia helps turn wool into felt.

Untitled Poem

A kinsman showed his tribe a felt
That he had made by pressing wool
By foot inside a urine bowl
They marveled at how thick it felt
“‍’Tis good for spats! For coats! For Hats!
’Twill keep off rain! Cut hail’s pain!
Please felt all clothes except my belt!‍”
The leader cried in sudden joy
As giddy as a naughty boy
Who just escaped a whipping’s welt
’Twas thus that urine came to be
  More costly than a honey-bee
