Friday Poem

Advise for selecting a quest.

Untitled Poem

In days of yore when on a quest
  One’s mission need not end;
The life-long quest was def. the best
For it made others proffer rest
  As place-to-place you’d wend.
The wisest chose a mystic chore,
Fantastic work with tales most sure
  To please the idle ear;
  A mission fun to hear.
But some had not the artist’s touch
And chose to hunt a such-and-such
  That was (let’s face it) dull,
  Of boring features full.
The foolish often chose to do
Some finite work that they got through
  And thus their quest did end.
But worst of all were those unwise
  Whose missions did “‍portend‍”;
Their advent e’er a bad surprise,
The locals would avert their eyes
  And never rations send.
