Midterm 1: on Wednesday, 27 September, in class

  • This semester's first exam is on chapters 1, 2, 3, and 5.  The focus will be on chapters 2 and 3.
  • Previous exams from last spring and last fall.  We do not have answers in electronic format, but if you are unsure, you can ask any of the course personnel.
    • If you are interested in more practice exams, see the exam page from last fall
    • Note that this semester's tests will follow the topics covered from last spring and fall, which is different than previous semesters
  • This semester's first midterm, grading guidelines, and regrade form
  • The test is NOT open textbook

Lab Quiz 1: on Thursday, 28 September, during lab section

  • This semester's first lab quiz will be here.
  • This semester's first exam is on chapters 1, 2, 3, and 5.  The focus will be on chapters 2 and 3.
  • 101-E students take the lab quiz on the Sunday following the lab quiz date (i.e. 1 Oct), from 7:00-8:30, from any computer.  The link will be made available at that time.
  • The lab quiz IS open textbook
    • You may not use other assignments, even ones you have implemented!
  • Previous lab quizzes from last spring and last fall.
    • If you are interested in more practice quizzes, see the exam page from last fall
    • Note that this semester's tests will follow the topics covered from last fall, which is different than previous semesters
  • This semester's first lab quiz, grading guidelines

Midterm 2: on Wednesday, 25 October, in class

  • This exam is cumulative, and thus covers chapters 1-6.  The focus will be on chapters 5 and 6, with only a little bit of chapter 4 (the parts we have covered in class).

  • Previous exams from last spring (which used the Tune.java file) and last fall.  We do not have answers in electronic format, but if you are unsure, you can ask any of the course personnel.
