The portal cluster

The portal cluster is a general purpose cluster of four servers whose logins are load balanced among the four servers. Upon an 'ssh' to portal,, your login will be placed on the least loaded of the cluster's servers (portal[01,02,03,04]). Each system is running CentOS Linux 7, has 128GB of memory, 16 virtual cores, and ~200GB of scratch (/localtmp) space. The portal will eventually replace the old “power*” nodes which are nearing retirement age.
