The department provides an FTP server, sftp.cs.virginia.edu, to which you can connect and transfer files to and from your departmental directories. The name sftp is an alias to portal01.cs.virginia.edu. Since this system is part of the portal cluster, direct access to it is allowed by the department firewall.
