  1. Posters are printed on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11am to 1pm.
  2. Your printing request must be received at least two work days before a printing day. So, for example, if you make a request on Thursday, the poster will not be printed until the following Monday.
  3. This service is for students in the Computer Science and Computer Engineering Departments. If you are in a different department, your advisor must make the printing request and state the affiliation with the Computer Science Department.
  1. To request a poster, send an email to Attach the poster's “.pdf” file and source file (ex. “.ppt”) to the email.
  2. Mandatory: The email's subject line should be:
    1. POSTER PRINTING: request from {UVA ID} needed by {Date and time} with or without tube
  3. Acceptable poster file formats are “.pdf” (Portable Document Format), or “.ppt” (PowerPoint).
  4. Only 24“x36” or 36“x48” poster sizes can be printed.
  5. Specify in the body of the email:
  the title of the poster
  your department
the poster size in inches (ex. 24” x 36”)
  the orientation (landscape or portrait)
if you need a tube in which the poster can be carried
the date by which you need the poster

(NOTE: poster paper is 36 inches wide, and the printer will only continually print for 48 inches. Therefore one dimension MUST be 36 inches or less, and the other dimension must be 48 inches or less. If both dimensions are less than 36 inches you will have to trim your poster). Use only standard sizes for your poster, which are: ARCH D Portrait or Landscape (24“x36”) or ARCH E Portrait or Landscape (36“x48”). NO OTHER SIZES WILL BE PRINTED

Do not use generic names for your file (like “poster.pdf”). Use a unique name for your file.

You will be notified by email when the poster is ready.

Posters must be picked from the hallway outside Rice Hall room 007.
