At the end of the last lecture, the slides said something about talking and writing up some ideas about a definition of computer science, and also what should go into a first course in CS. Since then I’ve been trying to figure out how Collab could support an on-line discussion. (Sigh. The best thing about SIS is it makes Collab look nice! )

Let’s see how this works. For class participation, use the link Group Forums on this page to go to Collab’s Forum tool. You’ll see a Forum called “What’s CS?” -- it has instructions on what to do. If you can try this out before class, great. Everyone should put something up there before Monday morning (9 am).
