On-line discussion #1: What's CS?

At the end of the last lecture, the slides said something about talking and writing up some ideas about a definition of computer science, and also what should go into a first course in CS. Since then I’ve been trying to figure out how Collab could support an on-line discussion. (Sigh. The best thing about SIS is it makes Collab look nice!

Let’s see how this works. For class participation, use the link Group Forums on this page to go to Collab’s Forum tool. You’ll see a Forum called “What’s CS?” -- it has instructions on what to do. If you can try this out before class, great. Everyone should put something up there before Monday morning (9 am).
